Action in Florida

Tampa, FL -- You wanted action? You got it. Dylan Martin made his return to the Pro Truck at Desoto Super Speedway on Saturday, July 16th, 2011 - as a packed crowd filed in to watch the races, they were not disappointed with the outcome.

During Dylan's heat race, he would start in the fourth position and quickly make his way to second. An "ill-handling" truck would for him to settle for that position and put him on the outside of the first row for the feature event. The crew, consisting of: Michael Martin, Dylan Martin, Race Garcia, Scott Ardrey and Brandon Martin would work feverishly to make the truck the best it could be for the feature event.

Dylan rolled off second in the feature event and while fighting for the lead, he was pushing into the outside wall, launching his truck five feet into the air and blowing out his tire. Once the yellow came out he was able to make his way back to pit road so the crew could change the tire, but by this time the toe, camber and caster were all knocked out and the suspension was bent.

Once the race got back under way, Dylan had to feel out his truck and got into the outside wall on lap number six do to the truck being damaged and the handling characteristics being changed. After ripping the the door panel and quarter panel off his truck, Dylan set on a mad dash toward the front; taking the lead with four laps to go. While entering the third turn, Dylan would miss his marks and looped the truck coming out of turn four.

On the last restart of the evening, Dylan was able to work his way back toward the front and finish second on a green, white, checkered finish. Oh and he was doing all of this with no communication with his spotter.
