Average Joes Entertainment’s own, Colt Ford, will join forces with Track Enterprises at the Fairgrounds Speedway in Nashville on Friday, April 8 for an evening of Rockin’ and Racin’ and good family fun. Colt Ford Concert AdThe evening begins at 5:30 with qualifying followed by the ARCA/CRA Super Series and Southern Super Series doubleheader at 7:00, featuring 50-lap races for both series.

Country star, Colt Ford, will headline the evening with a rockin’, high-energy concert at 8:30 pm. Tickets are $20 for adults, $5 for ages 5-12 (children 4 and under are free) and available at the gate or by calling 217-764-3200.

The recipients for the 2016 season have been selected. Dylan has raised over $25,000 for the CARS kids and we are excited to able to be a part of helping to raise funds for these families and help to make a difference in their lives this season. We want to introduce them to you so you know who you are helping. Each donation makes a big difference in their lives and we are grateful for each of you who will be a part of this journey this season. The first Spirit Night at Gator's Dockside - Highland City, Florida will be next Thursday, March 24th.

It was a cool and sunny Sunday afternoon on March 6th when Dylan and the Empire Racing Group arrived at the track for the 150 lap season opener at Caraway Speedway. Saturday was a bit colder and windy and the drivers knew they had to adjust for the track temperature change. Practice on Saturday went well. At one point, Dylan was P1 (Position 1) on the speed charts. This race would be Dylan's first race in the Late Model Stock class. It's a car that Dylan wasn't familiar with, but spent many hours during the week practicing to learn the car and the track. With just one practice session left on Saturday, Dylan pulls out on the track and just as he was getting up to speed the car shut off. Dylan came on the radio and said, "I think we're out of gas".

Dylan pulled the car in and the engine wouldn't roar again until Sunday morning, as the car wasn't out of gas, but rather the engine had failed. The crew took just a record 18 minutes to remove the engine. With the engine out of the car and the team waiting for the engine builder to come to the track to pick it up well after dark to analysis the problem, Dylan was still optimistic that the weekend would be salvaged and it was. The crew picked up a loaner engine at 5am on Sunday morning and by 10:00am the engine was replaced; however, because it was Sunday morning, the tracks have a rule that engines can't be fired until 12:00pm due to local churches in the area. So as the team took just 30 minutes to reinstall the engine, they had to wait before they could fire it up. At the strike of noon, the engine was fired and it started without any issues. The crew had successfully completed an engine swap at the track on the morning of the race. The first practice session for the Late Model Stock class was from 12:00 - 12:10 and with the engine just having been replaced, the team wasn't able to get in on the first practice session. So the team wrenched on the car making sure it was good to go for the next practice session which was only 5 minutes long. Dylan was able to get a few laps in on the new engine during the 2nd practice session and the officials at Caraway Speedway helped out by letting Dylan take a couple extra laps in between other classes. After Dylan's ARCA testing session at Daytona International Speedway, he finds himself pumped and ready for the 2016 season to get underway. Dylan is ready to position himself for success as he has relocated to Kannapolis, NC. He is working at Empire Racing Group/Grumpy Inc. with the race team and is heavy into preparing for the season. The #7 Super Late Model is getting a face lift, at least a new number anyways. The #7 will be replaced with #82 for the season. The cars in Empire's garage typically run with the #82 on them, and Dylan's Super Late Model won't be any different. He's starting a new season, with a new team and now a new car number, but still the same trusted car. Dylan's first race of the season will be next Sunday, March 6th at Caraway Speedway in Sophia, NC.

Before Dylan moved to North Carolina, he wanted to take some time and thank some of his sponsors for their support in the 2015 season. It's through their efforts and support that Dylan is able to do what he loves and strive to make an impact on youth everywhere by sharing the message of the importance of seat belt and helmet safety. MOORESVILLE, N.C. (February 17, 2016) - Richard Petty Motorsports has announced a driver development partnership with Empire Racing Group for the 2016 season. Empire Racing Group will field a truck in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series with the iconic, stylized No. 43. The truck will run the colors of Petty's Garage as the primary sponsor in the NextEra Energy Resources 250 under the Friday night lights in Daytona. Austin Hill will be the first driver to pilot the No. 43 truck and a roster of various drivers will fill out the remainder of the schedule. Read more

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (January 20, 2016) – Despite the rainy weather at Daytona International Speedway this past weekend, the Empire Racing Group still secured multiple Top-10 positions on the speed charts during the track’s ARCA Racing test. With Friday being a rainout, the team went on to finish fourth, fifth and sixth on the charts on Saturday. On Sunday, the team continued its hot streak by securing second, third and eighth place on the charts.

“All of our drivers and race cars performed very well throughout the weekend,” said Mike “Grumpy” Cheek, crew chief and general manager of Empire Racing Group and owner of Grumpy’s Performance. “Everyone was very pleased with the results of the weekend, and now our drivers are looking forward to the upcoming race at Daytona.”

With four talented drivers behind the wheels of their race cars, Empire Racing had high expectations for the test and what the team could learn from it. All expectations were met throughout the weekend.
