The Destination: Race Day Young Hawks; heritage, charities, the ‘it’ factor and more

As many of you know, we started our Young Hawk driver program to help give media exposure to a few deserving young drivers. We report on their driving stats, aspirations and more on our Young Hawks News page and our main page. The five drivers we chose were announced in December: (in alphabetical order) Christopher Hogan, Garrett Marchant, Dylan Martin, Hannah Newhouse and Dylon Wilson. Now, with their seasons’ getting underway, we decided to give everyone the behind the scenes details on what led us to choosing these drivers.

First, foremost and obviously, they are all talented drivers. We believe they will all contend for race wins and championships in their respective series’ this year. To help us decide, we looked beyond the track to see what else a driver brings to the table that will hopefully help them build a long-term career in motorsports. While the ‘beyond-the-track’ characteristics we looked at apply in various levels to each driver we chose, they each had one distinctive factor that put them over the top in our decision-making process.
