Dylan Gets A Little Dirty

GEIt’s black, has 4 wheels and a roll cage but it ain’t no Pro Truck. Dylan’s new ride is a 1986 Iroc. His dad decided it was time for Dylan to get some seat time on a dirt track. With no experience on dirt and no seat time in this car, it didn’t matter to Dylan, he was ready to go racing. Without any time to hot lap it, it was race time for Dylan. With a big ole’ grin on his face and his #7x Iroc, he lined up 10th in the first Heat Race. It wasn’t on asphalt…it wasn’t a truck…Dylan didn’t care, it had a steering wheel and a gas pedal, that is all he needs. Lap 1 right out of the box, he passed the #98 car. A lap later he gets by the #09. Remember now, he is trying to learn the track at the same time he is learning the car. This shows what kind of talent Dylan has behind the wheel. At the end of the 6 lap Heat Race, Dylan finished 5th.

GEThe crew cleaned off the radiator and put some more tear-offs on his helmet to get him ready for the 15 lap Feature Race. 16 cars lined up to take the green flag. Dylan started 8th row inside (15th). After a few laps, he found his groove. Dylan knows nothing but determination. With only a few laps of experience in this car, he barrels down into turn 3. He sees an opening and takes it, making it three wide. In the racing world, we call that threading the needle. A caution comes out and the 7x passes two cars on the restart to take 10th place. A few laps later, Dylan makes a great move to avoid a spinning car. He is learning every lap and continues to drive the car hard into each turn. A good racer can drive anything…proven with Dylan’s 7th place finish. He will be back…
