(Bowling) C.A.R.S. Racing for a Cause 7-20-13

How do racing and bowling help Alex, who is 4 years old and battling Leukemia? Well the answer is simple for the more than 80 people who showed up to bowl this past Saturday morning. Rick Bristol’s C.A.R.S. Racing for a Cause holds this event to kick off the fundraising for three very deserving kids. The money raised by this event go towards the grand total that is given out in December to three families at the 8th Annual Joey Coulter Charity 200 Race Weekend. Dylan Martin bowled with his team to help support this cause. His team didn’t get any awards for being the best bowlers there but more important to Dylan was making a difference. And this he did folks, not by bowling a ‘Turkey’ but by bringing in the most money. Dylan and his team raised $1500. Did you hear me, I said $1500, isn’t that just awesome.

So there were a few strikes, splits and even some gutter balls but in the end everyone had a great time and a lot of smiles were raised for three very special kids. " We so appreciate the support of so many great folks to come and bowl and give to help the children and families dealing with terminal illness. The Dylan Martin crew were a help in a great way as together the team combined for $1500 to help with the cause. I am blessed to have many great friends like the Martins, along with Kim Scheffler, Chad Pierce and others on the team. 83 Bowlers joined to raise funds to help these families in their fights. Thanks to all and may God Bless each of them for giving" stated organizer Rick Bristol.
