St. Joseph’s Children Hospital Tampa, FL Visit with the kids

6.15.13 NSS Truck 1So how does racing help kids…just ask Sophia, Andrew, Hunter and Rylee and they will tell you how. How sitting at a table drawing race cars and coloring in race trucks with a real live race car driver helped them forget about being in a hospital. If only for an hour, they were just kids, no IV’s, no doctors, just smiles, fun and laughter.

Dylan was happy to hear that others in the community had come to visit the kids. Hockey and football players had stopped by but one parent made a point to let Dylan know that it was extra special to have a 15 year old come by and hang out with them. To sit and draw and even play Mr. Potato head. The kids gravitate to his caring young spirit.

6.15.13 NSS Truck 1 When leaving, Leah Class (Child Life Representative) apologized for only having a few children capable of coming down to visit with him and then asked Dylan if he would come back in October. He smiled and answered, “Whether it is for 1 kid or 100 kids, I will be here. I just made 4 new friends.”
